Mid-sized jets have larger cabins than light jets, usually sitting five to six adult passengers comfortably, with a maximum capacity of approximately eight, rarely nine. More importantly, mid jets have spacious cabins relative to light jets--particularly in the lavatory department.
The Hawker 800XP and Cessna Citation Excel are examples of stylish and modern mid-sized jets, and many now feature in-flight Wi-Fi--occasionally complementary (aircraft specific). For greater luggage capacity for larger groups, a step up to the super mid category is sometimes recommended, particularly when a large group requires transport of golf clubs or ski equipment in addition to standard luggage.
